MEP Jonathan Arnott is the guest speaker at Harrogate & Knaresborough UKIP’s branch meeting this Friday (December 12) at 7pm.
Being held in the Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate, Mr Arnott – the Party’s former general secretary – will talk about his role as one of 24 UKIP MEPs elected to the Brussels Parliament in May and why the UK will fare better out of the European Union.
UKIP County Councillor David Simister, who is the Party’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Harrogate and Knaresborough, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Jonathan and hearing about his work battling the EU bureauocracy.
“Johnathon has been a UKIP member for more than a decade, has held a number of senior positions within the organisation and is now one of our 24 MEPS.”
Alan Henderson, Chairman of UKIP Harrogate and Knaresborough, said: “Unlike other political parties our meetings are open to the public.
“Over the last 18 months we have seen a large rise in the numbers of non-members attending, which like our recent election results, bodes well for the party and the country as a whole!”
